Client

Adult Literacy Ohio (ALO) was a brand-new initiative aimed at providing accessible literacy resources for adults with developmental disabilities.

Goals

The goals of the project were to create a user-friendly web presence for ALO, catering to adult learners, caregivers, and prospective tutors. The emphasis was on accessibility and clear user journeys for each target audience, fostering engagement and ease of use.

Solution

As the visual and UI/UX designer, I crafted a comprehensive web brand guide aligning with ALO's existing logo and the branding of its associated family of brands. This guide laid the foundation for a cohesive and inclusive design approach. I then developed UI/UX mockups that prioritized user engagement and accessibility, ensuring that individuals with developmental disabilities could navigate the platform seamlessly. Collaborating closely with the web development team, I ensured that the final product met our standards of pixel-perfect design.

Impact

Through meticulous design and collaboration, I helped in successfully establishing a comprehensive web presence for Adult Literacy Ohio (ALO), ensuring accessibility and ease of use for adult learners, caregivers, and tutors alike. By prioritizing inclusivity in my UI/UX mockups and aligning with ALO's branding, I facilitated seamless navigation for individuals with developmental disabilities, thereby enhancing engagement and fostering a supportive learning environment.
